On the first Saturday of the month, postpartum moms have a class all of their own (inclusive of some pre-crawling babies!). Everything is possible in this class. And while postpartum moms are still welcome to come anytime to prenatal classes, this is a scene on its very own. We like you already!
I brought some yoga philosophy to the beginning of class tonight, we had a good 10 minutes of big authenticity, then we did movement and sensing in, breath practices, and rest. If you’re looking for something a little more intentional for all the layers of who you are, especially in the wildly attuned time of pregnancy, come sit with us. I turned in all my continuing education and recertified as a Certified Lactation Counselor! This renewal means I’ve been working in lactation care for almost 6 years. For the heck of it, I ran a report to get the total on my client list: 520. Five Hundred twenty moms. And I’ve seen several of y’all through more than one baby! Wow. I LOVE MY JOB.
My Group Prenatal Breastfeeding Workshop is an in-person class for up to 8 moms plus their partners. In 90 minutes, we cover a lot of basic lactation science, some real talk about the experience of postpartum, and constructive tips about how to maximize comfort and confidence, including how to ask for help from community and clinical helpers. The workshop, the homework materials, and the resources I have to share are for expecting parents interested in learning about lactation, whether they've breastfed a baby before or not. As an experienced CLC and doula, I LOVE learning and working in the field of birth, babies, and breasts. Since 2018, I've earned over 300 hours in lactation education (CERPs) that I'm always working to put back into our community to help moms begin with confidence! Postpartum Yoga is just once a month at @deltagrooveyoga ! It’s a yoga class, but it’s also a circle and an opportunity to witness your own body and your experience with others who SEE you. Some people bring their pre-crawlers and some come alone. Anything you need to do is fine in this space. It’s a watery, intuitive, powerful rush of floodwaters and we want you to come as you are.
